Controls
Become familiar with all the controls (Figure 5) before you
start the engine and operate the machine.

Throttle Control
The throttle control has 2 positions: Fast and Slow.
Choke
Use the choke to start a cold engine.
Blade Control Switch (PTO)
The blade control switch (PTO) is used to engage the electric
clutch to drive the mower blades with the right side motion
control lever in the center, un-locked position. Pull the
switch up to engage the blades and release. To disengage the
blades, push the blade control switch (PTO) down or move
or release the right side motion control lever into the neutral
lock position.
Ignition Switch
This switch is used to start the mower engine and has 3
positions: Start, Run, and Off.
Motion Control Levers
The motion control levers are used to drive the machine
forward, reverse, and turn either direction.
Neutral Lock Position
The neutral lock position is used with the safety interlock
system to engage and disengage the mower blades and to
determine neutral position.
Fuel Shut-off Valve
Close the fuel shut-off valve (under the fuel tank ) when
transporting or storing the mower.
Hour Meter
Shows the total hours the machine has been operated. This
operates only when the mower blades are operating.
The hour meter will flash 3 hours before and after a service
interval. The service intervals are set for the first 8 hours,
every 100 hours there after, and every 400 hours.
Note: Make sure maintenance is done at all recommended
intervals shown in the Recommended Maintenance Schedule.
