Avaya B179 SIP Conference Phone
On phone:
> SETTINGS > ADVANCED > (PIN) > NETWORK > ETHERNET > VLAN (6,2,2,2,1).
802.1x
IEEE 802.1X is an IEEE Standard for port-based Network Access Control and is part of the IEEE
802.1 group of networking protocols. It provides an authentication mechanism to devices
wishing to attach to a LAN or WLAN.
Enable 802.1x
EAP method
Username
MD5 password
Certificate
Root certificate
Private key
TLS password
By enabling this option, Avaya B179 asks an authentication server for
permission when connected to the LAN.
Select which EAP (Extensible Authentication Protocol) method to use:
MD5 or TLS.
The device identity in the network.
Password for the device identity when using MD5.
Here you can upload a certificate to the Avaya B179 to be used for
authentication when using TLS.
The public key in the root certificate is used to verify other certificates
when using TLS.
Here you can upload a private key to the Avaya B179 to be used for
authentication when using TLS.
The password used for encryption of the private key when using TLS.
