    Introduction Congratulations on choosing a Dedicated Micros Vandal PTZ speed dome camera. This manual will provide all the information necessary to install the Dedicated Micros SDH36. USA Regulatory Notice This product is compliant with UL2044, safety of Commercial CCTV Products and UL 50.

    Before installing the dome, please remove the components from the packaging and verify that all items listed below have been supplied: 1 x Dedicated Micros SDH36 Dome enclosure (with safety bond) 1 x Installation manual 1 x Operation and Programming manual Note: Any PSU used must be a UL 2044 approved Class 2 current limited 24VAC Power Supply.

    Tile mount (order code DM/CAM/SDACT/N) for suspended ceilings. Snowdrop mount bracket (order code DM/CAM/SDASM/N) for mounting at the top of a pole, column or roof parapet.     Attach safety bond to a suitable secure position in the ceiling void. Note: Always support dome with bond prior to mating connector (C). Weight of dome should be supported by bond ensuring no stress is placed on centre connector (C) at any time. Dedicated Micros ©2008...
  • Page 8 Insert 4 x ¼”(M6) plugs (item 1) into the holes and mount the Node Casting (item 2) using the 4 wall fixing screws (item 3) provided.     Lift dome to bracket flange ensuring head of screws (previously fitted ¼” x 1” Caphead Screw) pass through keyhole slots. Twist to locate.     Scan across the table to identify the values for the blue and yellow switches. For example, if the dome is to be used with a Dedicated Micros PTZ controller system with address ID#5 the switches should be set to ‘05’. i.e. the blue switch should be set to ‘0’ and the yellow switch set to ‘5’.

  • Page 18 Up to 16 Preset positions may be set up using the controller programming facility when PTZ control is over coax. If more than 16 preset positions are required, the Dedicated Micros SDH36/N dome programming must be used via the dome’s on-screen menus. Alternatively RS485 PTZ control should be used if more than 16 presets are to be recalled directly form the controller keyboard.
