2. Remove the bearing from the wheel hub and
allow the bearing spacer to fall out (Figure 84 and
Figure 85). Remove the bearing from the opposite
side of the wheel hub.
3. Check the bearings, spacer, and inside of the wheel
hub for wear. Replace any damaged parts.
4. To assemble the castor wheel, push the bearing into
the wheel hub. When installing the bearings, press
on the outer race of the bearing.
5. Slide the bearing spacer into the wheel hub. Push the
other bearing into the open end of the wheel hub to
captivate the bearing spacer inside the wheel hub.
6. Install the castor wheel assembly between the castor
fork and secure it in place with the bolt and locknut.

Replacing the Cutting Unit
Hinge Covers
The hinge cover prevents debris from escaping at hinge
points between cutting units. If cover(s) ever become
damaged or worm they must be replaced.
1. Hinge cover

Tightening the Locknuts

Service Interval: After the first 50 hours
After the first 50 hours, the lock nuts on the lower pivot
links (Figure 87), the lift arm pins (Figure 88) and the
wing deck cylinder mounts (Figure 89) must be torqued
to 160 to 180 ft-lb (216 to 244 N⋅m).
