Applies for the following types:
– 0 602 335 0..
Installation
– Make sure that the fitting protection guard is
mounted (see "Mounting the Protective De-
vices", page 46).
– Place the clamping flange 13 on the grinder
spindle 3.
– Mount the desired grinding tool 14 (cutting
disc) in the correct rotation direction onto
the grinder spindle 3.
– Mount the clamping washer and the clamp-
ing nut onto the spindle thread in such a
manner that the hexagon socket of the
clamping nut faces upward.
The clamping washer is used for centring of
the cutting disc.
– Tighten the clamping nut with an Allen key
(size 10 mm), while counter-holding the the
spanner surfaces of the grinder spindle 3
with open-end spanner 17.
Removal
– Hold the grinder spindle 3 on the spanner
surfaces with open-end spanner 17.
– Unscrew the clamping nut from the grinder
spindle with an Allen key (size 10 mm), while
counter-holding the spanner surfaces with
open-end spanner 17.
– Afterwards, pull the clamping washer, the
grinding tool and the mounting flange from
the grinder spindle.
Machines with Spindle Lock Button 5
Applies for the following types:
– 0 602 324 40.
– 0 602 324 434
– 0 602 324 44.
For machines with spindle lock button 5, coun-
ter-holding with an open-end spanner is not re-
quired when mounting grinding tools.
(see figures F1 – F2)
Actuate the spindle lock button only when
the grinder spindle is at a standstill. Other-
wise, the machine may become damaged.

– Before installing or removing the grinding
tool, press and hold spindle lock button 5 to
lock the grinder spindle 3 in place.
– Mount the desired grinding tool (see "Mount-
ing Grinding or Cutting Discs", page 47).
– Let go of the spindle lock button 5 to release
the locked grinder spindle.
Mounting the Rubber Sanding Plate
(see figure G)
Applies for the following types:
– 0 602 301 4..
– 0 602 324 40.
– 0 602 305 40.
– 0 602 327 401
– 0 602 306 434
Installation
– Make sure that the hand guard and the auxil-
iary handle are mounted (see "Mounting the
Protective Devices", page 46).
– Place the rubber sanding plate 20 onto the
grinder spindle 3.
– Lay the sanding disc 19 on the rubber sand-
ing plate.
– Place the round nut 18 on the spindle collar.
– Tighten the round nut with two-pin spanner
16, while counter-holding the spanner sur-
faces of the grinder spindle 3 with open-end
spanner 17.
Take care that the round nut 18 is screwed com-
pletely into the bulge of the rubber sanding
plate so that it does not interfere while sanding
and the sanding disc is firmly seated.
Removal
– Hold the grinder spindle 3 on the spanner
surfaces with open-end spanner 17.
– Unscrew the round nut 18 from the grinder
spindle with two-pin spanner 16, while coun-
ter-holding the spanner surfaces with open-
end spanner 17.
– Pull the sanding disc and the rubber sanding
plate from the grinder spindle.
