You can change your sound settings
to suit your circumstances and with several
polyphonic ring tones offering a richer
sound experience preset in your phone
you'll be sure to turn heads.
1 From the main display press Menu.
Scroll to Tones and press Select.
2 Select Tone settings. A list of your
phone's sound settings is displayed.
3 Select the setting(s) you want to change.
Choose from:
Incoming call alert
I
Choose how you would like to be
alerted to an incoming call.
Ringing tone
I
Choose from several polyphonic tones
or open your Gallery to browse
through the tones stored there.
Ringing volume
I
Choose how loud you would like your
phone to sound when it receives an
incoming call.
Vibrating alert
I
Set the phone to vibrate when it
receives a call or message.
Message alert tone
I
Choose how you would like to be
alerted to an incoming message.
Keypad tones
I
Choose whether to hear tones when
you press the keys on your phone.
Warning tones
I
Set the phone to sound when it's
running out of battery power.
Note: Changing your Sound settings will
only alter them for the profile you are
currently using. See page 8.4 for more
details on Profiles.

change the way your
phone behaves in seconds
A profile is a phone setting that determines
how your phone behaves when, for
example, you receive a new text message,
text picture message, photo message or
Answer Phone message.
You can choose a profile from five presets:
1 From the main display press Menu.
Scroll to Profiles and press Select.
2 Select the profile you want to use from:
General
I
Silent
I
Meeting
I
Outdoor
I
Pager
I
3 Select Activate or use the Personalise
and Timed options to customise your
phone to fit in with your schedule.
To switch profiles without entering the
menu, quickly press the power key and
choose one of the five options.
recognise your friends by
the sound of their ring
If you use Caller groups in your
phonebook, you can assign a different
ring tone for each by creating
group ringtones:
1 Press Names and select Caller groups.
Select the Caller group that you want.
2 Press Group ringing tone and select the
tone you wish to assign the group.
Press OK. You can also assign a logo
for the group by selecting Group logo.
You can choose to be alerted to phone
calls only from a selected Caller group.
1 Press Menu and select Settings and
then Tone settings.
2 Select Alert for. Scroll to the Caller group
you want or All calls and press Mark.
