Orange Assistant
If you'd like an operator to personally manage
your phone messages,
Orange Assistant
is the
answer. A reliable, highly efficient service that
can handle calls 24 hours a day, 7 days a
week,
Orange Assistant
will take a message
accurately and immediately forward it on to
your Orange phone as a text message.
There is no charge for the Call Divert to
Orange Assistant or for direct calls to Orange
Assistant. You only pay for the messages that
you receive.
You can either pay per message or pay a
monthly subscription for an unlimited number
of messages.
Contact your company's Orange account

Note: Orange Assistant cannot be used while
you are abroad.

have to set up receiving numbers by calling

Before you can install your 6100 as a modem
you must first choose how you wish to
transfer data. Choose from the following:

Orange Fax and Data
I
Your phone is automatically configured to
use a GSM connection. You do not need
to make a subscription to use this
connection.
Orange High Speed Data
I
Orange High Speed Data allows you
to send and receive information such as
files and documents, use email and
browse the internet at up to 28.8 kbps.
Orange GPRS
I
Orange GPRS allows you to be
permanently online whilst only being
charged for any data transfer activity,
such as emails, web pages or files.
You can also make and receive voice
calls whilst using GPRS.
To subscribe to Orange High Speed Data
or Orange GPRS services call Orange
Data Access on

and register.
To install your phone as a modem:

Insert the PC Suite CD into your laptop.

Enter Modem setup and select Setup.

Follow the onscreen prompts.

If you are using an infrared connection
select Install a modem for infrared
connection and activate the phone's
infrared. If you are connecting via data
cable follow the on screen prompts.

Click Finish once the modem has been
installed. Restart the laptop.

From the main display click Start and
then Settings. Select Control panel and
double click Nokia modem options.

Select the type of data transfer which
you wish to use:
If you want to use a GSM connection

leave the speed at 9.6 kbps.
If you want to use an Orange High
I
Speed Data connection set the speed
to 28.8 kbps.
If you want to use a GPRS connection
I
enter orangeinternet as the access
point.
