Problem
My image is

Possible Cause
A natural or
artificial source
other than the
flash provided
too much light.
The scene had
many dark-
colored objects,
such as a black
object against
a dark
background.
The Display
Brightness is set
to High for
outdoor display,
making images
appear too
bright on the
Image Display.
You used EV
Compensation
when you
should not have.
Troubleshooting and Support
Solution
• Try taking the picture from a
different angle.
• Avoid pointing the camera
directly toward a bright light
or reflective surface on a
sunny day.
• Decrease the EV
Compensation (see
page 54).
Decrease the EV Compensation
(see page 54).
Change the Display Brightness
in the Setup Menu for more
accurate brightness on the
Image Display (see page 86).
Set EV Compensation to 0.0
(see page 54).
