The frame consists of two parts : the upper
part, which is technically called the frame, and
two lowe r tubes which form the engine holding
cradle.
CHECKING AND OVERAHULING
After an accident, inspect the frame for distor-
tion or cracking , particularly on welded points.
For this inspection follow the measures wh ich
are indicated on the Drwg . in fig. 310/ 1.
In case of very high frame distortion, it is advi-
sable to replace it.
RETURN SPRING FOR CENTER
AND SIDE STANDS
Inspect the springs for distortion and check
their trueness.
Central stand return spring :
Free length : mm 94 -:- 95.
Tension under load of Kg 30 (66 Ibs) ± 5%:
mm 10.
Side stand return spring :
Free length : mm 183.
Tension under load of Kg 10,2 (22 lbs):
mm 7.
