Troubleshooting

(Preparatory operations
Possible cause
The camera does not turn on or function buttons do not respond.
The power is off.
The battery power is
exhausted.
The cold is temporarily
affecting battery
performance.
The camera is in the
sleep mode.
The camera is connected
to a computer.
(Shooting
Possible cause
No picture is taken when the shutter button is pressed.
The battery power is
exhausted.
The camera is in the
playback mode.
The flash has not
finished charging.
The power is off.
The internal memory or
card is full.
The battery power was
exhausted during
shooting or while the
images were being written
to the internal memory or
card. (The monitor turns
off.)
There is a problem with
the card.
Corrective action
Press the POWER switch to turn the camera
on.
Charge the battery.
Warm the battery by putting it in your pocket
for a while.
Operate the camera (press the shutter button
or zoom button).
The camera will not operate while it is
connected to a computer.
Corrective action
Charge the battery.
Press # to switch to the shooting mode.
Remove your finger from the shutter button,
and wait until the # (flash charge) indication
stops blinking before taking the picture.
Press the POWER switch.
Erase unwanted pictures or insert a new
card. Before erasing, download important
images to a computer.
Charge the battery. (Wait until the lamp on
the camera turns off when blinking orange.)
