15.1 FDYB-KA Series

15.1.1 Before Installation
Cautions
1. Air conditioners should not be installed in areas where corrosive gases, such as acid gas or alkaline gas, are produced.
2. If the outdoor unit is to be installed close to the sea shore, direct exposure to the sea breeze should be avoided and choose an outdoor unit with
anti-corrosion treatment.
• This unit is for only indoor use.
• The accessories needed for installation must be retained in your custody until the installation work is completed. Do not discard them!
• Decide upon a line of transport.
• Leave the unit inside its packaging while moving, until reaching the installation site. Where unpacking is unavoidable, use a sling of soft material or
protective plates together with a rope when lifting, to avoid damage or scratches to the unit.
• When moving the unit at or after opening, hold the unit by the hanger brackets (×4). Do not apply force to the refrigerant piping, drain piping or plastic
parts.
• For models 71, see the installation manual attached to the outdoor unit.
