COMPONENT MODE (MODE 3)

Component Mode is used to display a device connected to the Component green, blue, and red
inputs (Y/Pb/Pr) in high resolution (i.e DVD player, Set Top Box, or Satellite Receiver.) The Audio
from the Component Device connects to the red and white audio inputs located to the right of the
Component inputs. Component mode may be used for displaying promotional videos (i.e. DVD) in
a business or using it as a display for your TV or satellite receiver at home.
To connect and view a component device on your system:
1. Connect a component device into the component port and Audio IN port on the rear panel of
the system.

2. Press the MODE button on the front panel.
• The Mode menu opens.
3. Use the navigation cursor on the front panel
to select COMPONENT and then press the
Enter button.
• The system switches into component mode.

Exiting component mode

To exit component mode:
1. Press the MODE button on the front panel.
• The Mode window opens.
2. Select DVR using the navigation cursor on the front panel and then press Enter.

Viewing a DVD Player using Component Input

1. Connect the DVD player (not included) to the system using a component cable (not included).
2. Switch the system to Component Mode following the instructions above.
Press the PIP button on the remote control to display the DVR in the bottom right corner.
NOTE:

Setting Component (Component Mode) on your DVD Player

Before using a DVD player on the Component inputs of the system, confirm that the DVD player
has Component outputs. Refer to your DVD player's owner's manual for details on activating
Component mode.
If the Component mode does not properly activate on your DVD player, you may see color
NOTE:
distortion (i.e. pink colored screen) on the system display.
