Exiting Computer Monitor mode

To exit Computer Monitor mode:
1. Press the MODE button on the front panel.
• The Mode window opens.
2. Select DVR using the navigation cursor on the front panel and then press Enter.

Computer Monitor Mode Connection Errors

If the computer is not correctly connected to the system, several error messages may be
displayed:
No Sync or Signal:
Indicates that the system does
not detect a signal from your
computer. Double-check that
the connected computer is
powered ON, and that the
cables are secure.

Computer Monitor Mode - Remote Control Usage

Below is a reference for the remote control usage in
Computer Monitor mode.
1. POWER: Press the Power button to turn off the
monitor display (system continues to record).
2. MODE: Press the Mode button to display the
Multi-Function mode menu.
3. SETUP: Displays the monitor setup menu.
4. DVR: Return to DVR mode.
5. VGA (PC Monitor Mode): Changes the system
display to DVI
mode.
6. PIP: Displays the DVR screen in the PIP screen in
the lower right corner.
Using the Picture-In-Picture feature
The Picture-In-Picture feature allows you to view two
sources of video at the same time. This allows you to
view your computer connected to the system, and
monitor the surveillance cameras.

Cable not connected:
Indicates that the DVI cable is not
securely fastened to either the
system or the computer.

Going to Sleep:
Indicates that the system is not
receiving a signal from the
computer, and is going into
hibernation. This does not affect
the DVR functions.
Input Signal out of Range:
Indicates that the refresh rate of your computer is
too high for the system display. Lower the refresh
rate of your computer, and re-connect the
computer to the system display.
