6. TROUBLE SHOOTING

6.4 Important Points

6.4.1

Common

• To set IP address, you must consult the network administrator. If
the same IP address is used by multiple machines, a serious er-
ror will result on network.
• It will take about 30 seconds to change the settings of this net-
work card.
6.4.2

When inserting and removing Network card

• Before you insert/remove the Network card, you must turn the
printer off. (See Section 2.1.)
• Insert the Network card all the way. (See Section 2.1.)
6.4.3

When setting in NetWare3.x environment

• You must set Printer Types of Remote Printer to "Remote Other/
Unknown". (See Section 3.2.3.1.)
• To use the OKIPAGE 12i printer in Queue Server Mode, do not
use the password for the print server. (See Section 3.2.3.2.)
• This Network card does not support the Banner Sheet in the Queue
Server Mode. (See Section 3.2.3.2.)
• If the printer connection cutoff message is issued very often in the
Remote Printer Mode, change the notification settings with
PCONSOLE. (See Section 3.2.3.3.)

When setting in NetWare 4.x and 5 environment

• You must set Printer Types of Remote Printer to "Remote Other/
Unknown". (See Section 3.2.4.1.1 or 3.2.4.1.2.)
