Adjustment procedures
1. Loosen the Y feed arm 4 setscrew 1 .
2. Push the Y feed shaft 3 in the direction of the arrow A ⇒ .
3. Loosen the setscrews 2 (3 pcs.) of the work feed acceptor
plate. Moving the Y feed arm 4 in the direction of the arrow
➡ , fix the Y feed shaft 3 to the guide and also fix the work
feed acceptor plate 5 in the position where no torque is gener-
ated.
4. Let the end planes A of the Y feed shaft 3 and the Y feed arm
4 coincide with each other. Fix the Y feed arm 4 set screw 1 .
Adjustment procedures
1. Loosen the two set screws 2 .
2. Make vertical adjustments of the feeder bar rear cover 1 and
secure a clearance of about 1mm toward the upper plane of
the work feed presser bar 4 . Then, tighten the two set screws
2 .
3. Move the feeder bar 5 in the direction of the arrow A and
confirm that there is a clearance at the notch part of the sewing
machine frame 3 . If there is no clearance and there is interfer-
ence with the sewing machine frame 3 , the steps of 1. to 2.
above should be repeated again.
(Caution) When tightening the set screws 2 , the feeder bar
rear cover 1 may be moved vertically. Hold the
feeder bar rear cover 1 firmly while the set screws
2 are tightened.

much and this can be a cause of
feed error.

If the clearance is too small

between the feeder bar rear
cover 1 and the upper plane
of the work feed presser bar 4 ,
the feeder bar rear cover 1 will
come in contact with the work
feed presser bar 4 due to the
effect of vibration during sewing
operation. This will cause noise
and abrasion.
If there is no clearance between
o
the feeder bar rear cover 1 and
the notch part of the sewing
machine frame 3 , the feeder
bar rear cover 1 will come in
contact with the sewing machine
frame 3 , causing feed error dur-
ing sewing operation.
