Faderstart über Taster
Damit es nicht zu einer Fehlfunktion kommen kann,
zuerst den CD-Player und das Mischpult ausschal-
ten. Die entsprechende Faderstartbuchse am
Mischpult über ein Verbindungskabel (siehe Abb. 8
oder 9) an die Buchse START/PAUSE 1 (35) bzw.
START/ PAUSE 2 (30) anschließen.
Ist das Mischpult mit einer Vorhörfunktion (Monitor-
funktion) ausgestattet, kann trotz zugezogenem
Fader für den CD-Player ein Titel angespielt und
über einen Kopfhörer abgehört werden. Dazu den
CD-Player, wie im Kapitel 6.5 „Anspielen eines
Titels" beschrieben, bedienen.
Hinweis: Die Steuerung über Mischpult-Fader ist bei
Relay-Betrieb (siehe Kap. 6.4.3) nicht sinn-
voll, weil unabhängig von den zugehörigen
Fadern die Wiedergabe automatisch am
Ende eines Titels bzw. am Ende der CD
stoppt und das andere Laufwerk startet.

Pflege des Gerätes
Das Gerät vor Staub, Vibrationen, direktem Sonnen-
licht, Tropf- und Spritzwasser, hoher Luftfeuchtigkeit
und Hitze schützen. Für die Reinigung nur ein wei-
ches, trockenes Tuch verwenden, auf keinen Fall
Wasser oder Chemikalien.
Hinweis zu Tonaussetzern und Lesefehlern
Zigarettenrauch dringt leicht durch alle Öffnungen
des Gerätes und setzt sich auch auf der Optik des
Laser-Abtastsystems ab. Dieser Belag kann zu Lese-

Fader start via momentary pushbutton
To prevent malfunction, first switch off the CD player
and the mixer. Connect the corresponding fader start
jack on the mixer via a cable (see fig. 8 or 9) to the
jack START/PAUSE 1 (35) or START/PAUSE 2 (30).
If the mixer is equipped with a prefader listening
function (monitoring function), it is possible to play
the beginning of a title and to monitor it via head-
phones despite a closed fader for the CD player. For
this purpose operate the CD player as described in
the chapter 6.5 "Short replay of a title beginning".
Note: Control via mixer fader is pointless during
relay operation (see chapter 6.4.3) as, regard-
less of the corresponding faders, the replay
will automatically stop at the end of a title or at
the end of the CD and the other player mech-
anism will start.

Maintenance of the Unit
Protect the unit from dust, vibrations, direct sunlight,
dripping water and splash water, high air humidity,
and heat. For cleaning only use a dry, soft cloth, by
no means water or chemicals.
Note concerning sound interruptions and read-
ing errors
Cigarette smoke easily penetrates through all open-
ing of the unit and also settles on the optics of the
laser sampling system. This deposit may cause
reading errors and sound interruptions. As cigarette

Anti Shock Buffer Memory: Elektronischer Speicher, in dem
die Musik nach dem Einlesen von der CD zwischengespei-
chert wird, um bei Erschütterungen Unterbrechungen der
Wiedergabe zu vermeiden.
Auto Cue: Beim Anwählen eines Titels steht der CD-Player
exakt an der Stelle, an der die Musik beginnt und nicht bei
dem Zeitindex 0:00:00. Dadurch startet nach dem Drücken
der Taste
die Musik sofort ohne Pause.
Bargraph: Im Multifunktionsdisplay stellt ein Balken durch
seine Länge die Titel- bzw. CD-Restzeit oder die bereits
gespielte Zeit eines Titels graphisch dar.
Beatcounter engl. Taktzähler: Ermittelt die Anzahl der Takt-
schläge pro Minute (BPM) und damit, wie schnell ein Musik-
stück gespielt wird.
BOP (BOP = Stottereffekt): Die Taste BOP dient zum Zu-
rückspringen und sofortigen Starten der Wiedergabe ab dem
Anfang des gerade laufenden Titels oder ab einem zuvor mit
der Taste CUE gewählten Startpunkt. Durch mehrfaches kur-
zes Drücken der Taste BOP entsteht ein Stottereffekt.
BPM: engl. beats per minute = Taktschläge pro Minute
Der integrierte manuelle Beatcounter ermittelt die Anzahl der
Taktschläge pro Minute eines Titels, wenn die Taste BPM /
TAB einige Male im Takt der Musik angetippt wird.
CE (
-Zeichen) franz. Communauté Européenne = Europäi-
sche Gemeinschaft: Bestimmte Produkte, die in der EU ver-
kauft werden sollen, müssen das CE-Zeichen tragen. Damit
bestätigt der Hersteller bzw. der Vertreiber, dass das Produkt
alle entsprechenden Richtlinien der EU erfüllt (z. B. Nieder-
spannungsrichtlinie, Richtlinie für Elektromagnetische Ver-
träglichkeit etc.).

Anti-shock buffer memory: electronic memory where the
music is temporarily memorized after it has been read from
the CD to prevent interruptions of the replay in case of shocks
Auto Cue: When selecting a title, the CD player is exactly on
the spot where the music starts and not at the time index
0:00:00. For this reason, the music starts immediately without
pause after pressing the button

Bar graph: In the multifunction display there is a graphic display
of a bar which indicates the remaining time of a title or a CD
or the time already played of a title graphically by its length.
Beat counter: determines the number of beats per minute
(BPM) and thus the replay speed of a music piece.
BOP (= stutter effect): The button BOP serves for return and
immediate start of the replay from the beginning of the cur-
rently playing title or from a starting point previously defined
with the button CUE. Repeated short actuation of the button
BOP will produce a stutter effect.
BPM (= beats per minute): The integrated manual beat counter
determines the number of beats per minute of a title when the
button BPM/TAB is shortly pressed several times to the beat
of the music.

Community: certain products on sale in the EU must have the
CE mark. Thus, the manufacturer or the distributor confirms
