Lift the chassis and slide it into the rails installed in the rack (Figure 16). Tighten the two thumb
screws and four rack screws (item 5 in Figure 16) on each flange to secure the chassis to the rack.
On a 2-post rack, slide each rail bracket (item 4 in Figure 16) forward to the post. Tighten the two
screws (item 3 in Figure 16) to secure the bracket to each post.

Using a Rack Mount Tray (Optional)
You can also use a rack mount tray to install the C9010 switch in a 2- or 4-post rack. Purchase the tray as
a separate item.
NOTE: If the use of a rack bar or Dell ReadyRails does not satisfy your C9010 installation
requirements, Dell Networking recommends using a rack mount tray to support the weight of a
C9010 switch in a 2- or 4-post rack. For information about the chassis weight and other technical
