• If the wireless adapter and the camcorder are turned on
at the same time and you start recording on the
camcorder immediately, the length of a proxy file that
is recorded on an SD card differs from that of the
original file because there is a delay before the
wireless adapter starts recording.
To record by interlocking to the recorder
The recorder PMW-50 that is compatible the wireless
adapter can send the Rec/Stop control signals by
pressing the assignable button to which "Play&SDI
REC" is assigned, and the wireless adapter can record
the video/audio as the proxy file by interlocking to the
recorder's playback. (During the recording, the REC
indicator lights in red.)
When playback is stopped on the recorder, the wireless
adapter stops recording automatically. (The REC
indicator turns off.)
To record manually
You can record manually the HD-SDI signals that do not
have the Rec/Stop control signals from the camcorder/
recorder or other devices.
In this case, the recorded file does not inherit the
information and size from the original file.

Connect the terminal device to the wireless adapter
via the wireless LAN, start the browser on the
terminal device, then access the wireless adapter
from the browser (page 8).
The "Device Status" screen appears.

"Rec"
Note
When other than the "Device Status" screen is
displayed, the setting menu appears by touching
at the upper left of the screen, then select
"Device Status" to display the "Device Status"
screen.

Touch "Rec."
The wireless adapter starts recording.
To stop recording, touch "Rec" again.
You can prevent misoperations by setting the
"Lock" switch to the right to lock "Rec."
Using the "Content Browser Mobile"
application
You can perform manual recording by streaming the
playback video of the camcorder/recorder.
About the recorded file
The file system is FAT32 and the file extension is
".mp4."
The time code that is included on the HD-SDI signal is
also recorded on the files.
About the file name
When recording by interlocking to a camcorder/
recorder that is compatible with the wireless
adapter
The file name is created as "<file name of the original
file> + S03.mp4."
When other than the above
The file name is created from the time code when
starting to record.
For example, when starting to record at 14:30:20:05, the
file name is "14_30_20_05.mp4." If there is the file of
the same name, a serial number is appended to the time
code.
Directory of the recorded file
The recorded file is stored in the "Root/PRIVATE/
PXROOT/Clip Directory" directory.
Notes
• When reaching the storage capacity of an SD card
during recording, an error message appears on the
screen, and the wireless adapter stops recording.
(When the camcorder is recording, the REC indicator
flashes.)
• The maximum number of files that can be recorded on
one SD card is 600. When reaching the maximum
number of files, the error message "Media Full"
appears on the screen, and the REC indicator flashes.
