OPN 2002 LASER SCANNER

The Opticon OPN2002 is a small, light
weight laser scanner with a Bluetooth
communications link. It can be used
with Android phones and tablets to
scan barcodes and enter information
into the HandiFox application. This
Guide describes basic principles of
operation.
INITIAL SETUP. Refer to the graphic at
the right and follow the steps for initial
setup. You will be using the SPP mode
(Serial Port Protocol).
Scan the
barcode in step 3 to change the PIN
code to 0000. You will use this code
when pairing the scanner with your
device.

  • Page 2 HandiFox, eliminating the need to press the small button. CHARGING. Charge the OPN2002 by using a USB charging cable connected to a PC or other USB charging power supply. You should charge it every day to ensure reliable operation.
  • Page 3 OPERATIONS WITH HANDIFOX. Not all screens in HandiFox require the use of a scanner. For those screens which do accept scanner inputs, like Inventory/Item List, a Connect command is sent by HandiFox. If the scanner is in the Connectable mode (blue light flashing), it will acknowledge the Connect command with a high pitched beep.
