Replacing the Table Insert

A
Danger!
If the table insert is damaged there is a
risk that small parts may become stuck
between table insert and the saw blade,
causing the saw blade to jam. Replace
damaged table inserts immediately!
1. Unscrew the screws on the table in-
sert (76). Rotate the rotating table
and tilt the sawhead if necessary to
reach the screws.
2. Remove the table insert .
3. Put in a new table insert.
4. Tighten the table insert fixing
screws.

Adjusting the Fence

1. Loosen Allen head screws (77).

2. Adjust fence (78) so that it is exactly
square with the saw blade when the
rotating table is locked in the 0 posi-
tion.
3. Tighten hexagon socket screws
(77).

Adjusting the laser guide

1. Unscrew and remove the laser cov-
er (82) and clean the outer surface
of the glass if necessary.

Setting the laser to 90 degrees:
2. Loosen (or tighten) the right Allen
screw (81) and/or the left Allen
screw (79) to align the laser to 90
degrees.
Lateral laser adjustment:
3. Unscrew the centre Allen screw
(80).
4. Slide the laser unit horizontally in

the oblong hole:
– To the right = cutting line marking
is moved to the right as viewed
by the operator.
– To the left = cutting line marking
is moved to the left as viewed by
the operator.
5. Tighten the centre Allen screw
again.
6. Screw the laser cover (82) back on.

Checking and Replacing
the Carbon Brushes
Worn carbon brushes are recognisable
by:
– intermittent operation of the motor;
– faults during reception of radio and
television programmes while the

motor is running;
– motor stalling.
To check or replace the carbon brush-
es:
1. Unplug power cable.
2. Remove plug holding the carbon
brushes from the motor housing
with a suitable screwdriver.
Illustrated is the replacement of the
front carbon brush (83). The second
carbon brush is on the opposite side
of the motor housing.

3. Pull carbon brush (83) out and
check. The carbon brush should be
at least 8 mm long.
4. Put intact carbon brush back into
the brush holder. The two lugs on
the sides of the small metal plate
must fit into the grooves in the
brush holder.
5. Replace the plug.
6. Repeat steps 2 to 5 to replace the
second carbon brush on the oppo-
side side of the motor.
7. Check functioning of the saw.

Machine Cleaning

Remove chips and saw dust with brush
or vacuum cleaner from:
– setting devices;
– the operating elements;
– motor vent slots;
– the space below the table insert;
and
– the area above the laser unit.

Storage

A
Danger!
Store the saw in such way that it
can not be started by unauthorized
persons.
Make sure that nobody can get in-
jured by the stored machine.

Caution!
Do not store saw unprotected out-
doors or in damp environment.
Observe the permissible ambient
conditions (see "Technical Specifi-
cations").
