Wall bracket
(included)
The wall bracket (V) comes in two different models: small for 30
and 50 l, large for 80 and 100 l.
Important: Check that the bracket is mounted with sturdy
screws on a solid stud or batten.

Installation - positioning

1. Mount the wall bracket (V) securely using sturdy screws.
Make sure that the bracket is mounted on a solid stud or bat-
ten. Attach the heater by sliding the tongue on the wall bracket
into the slot on the back of the heater. Press the heater well
down on the bracket.
The wall bracket must be mounted at least 320 mm below the
ceiling to leave enough room to lower the heater onto it.
2. Connect the cold and hot water pipes to the mixing valve,
which is factory fitted, and test the connections by turning the
water pressure on.
The overflow and stop valves must be fitted in accordance with
local regulations.
3. Fill the heater right up with water before connecting the power
or the warranty will be invalidated. The heating element will be
destroyed if the power is connected before the heater has been
filled with water.
Newly filled heaters must be flushed through with fresh water
once a week if they are not put to use immediately.
CAUTION! The overflow on the safety valve MUST be non-
closing. The overflow pipe must have a non-closing outlet to a
visible, frost-free drain!
Mixing valve (FTU) with check valve
How the mixing valve works:
Cold water is supplied via the connection point for cold water (Cw)
in. The valve design ensures that mixing lowers the temperature of
the hot water (Hw) supplied to the taps to approx. 10°C below the
heater temperature. The blue knob controls the Cw cock, which
opens/closes the Cw supply to the heater.
How the safety valve works:
The safety valve (SV) opens at 9 bar and must have an unobstructed,
non-closing outlet for any drips and overflow. If an overflow pipe
or hose is connected to the SV, it must have a continuous fall and
be frost-free. The SV must be checked annually by turning the knob
anticlockwise to open it. At least a couple of litres of water should be
let out to check that the valve is functioning correctly and to flush
out any impurities that may have collected in the valve.
Draining:
The heater can be drained by opening the drain plug using a 24
mm wrench. If necessary, the SV can be used by turning the knob
counterclockwise until the valve is open. To shut the valve, keep
turning counterclockwise until it closes.
Tight check valve:
The valve has an integral, tight check valve. An expansion vessel
must be fitted to prevent dripping from the safety valve. The expan-
sion vessel CANNOT be fitted on CW in, but must be connected to
the drain plug or HW out.
