A flow inducer or sleeve must be used if the
water enters the well above the motor or if
there is unsufficient water flow past the motor.
•
The minimum recommended water velocity
over 4" motors is 0.25 feet (0.08 m) per
second.
•
The minimum recommended water velocity
over 6", 8", and 10" motors is 0.5 (0.15 m) feet
per second.
