Backing up configuration data

For Task, activate the Save configuration option.
You can then set the location in which the backup file is to be saved in a file selection
window.
ì
Select a local directory on your PC where you want to save the configuration file and
enter a file name.
ì
Click Save.
The current configuration data is now saved in the specified file.

Restoring the saved data

ì
For Task, activate the Restore configuration option.
ì
In the file system, select the backup file that you want to use to restore the configu-
ration.
A window will appear prompting you to confirm the procedure.

Click OK. The configuration will now be updated.

Restoring factory settings

You can reset the Gigaset SX762 WLAN dsl to the factory settings. You should do this
before making the device available to others or exchanging it through the dealer. Oth-
erwise unauthorised persons may use the Internet access data at your expense.

Select Reset configuration to factory default settings and click OK.
A window will appear prompting you to confirm the procedure.
Note:
If the Gigaset SX762 WLAN dsl is not operating properly, you can reboot it. It should
then be ready for use again (page 20).
Please remember that when the device is fully reset, all the configuration settings are
returned to the factory settings. This means that you will have to completely reconfig-
ure the Gigaset SX762 WLAN dsl.

Reboot

If the Gigaset SX762 WLAN dsl is not operating properly, you can reboot it. It should
then be ready for use again.
In the Administration menu, select Reboot.
Click OK to reboot the device.
