4. Cut out and remove the square. (See FIG.5 )
5. This opening will allow sawdust to fall through the saw base.
6. Place the saw on the work bench, and align the mounting
holes of the saw with holes that have been drilled through
the surface.
7. Secure the saw to the work bench using bolts and nuts.
INSTALLING THE BLADE CONTROL WHEEL
HANDLE (FIG 6)
Place the nut into the nut slot on the back side of the blade
control wheel (2).
Insert the long screw (3) through the wheel handle (1), a plastic
washer and the blade control wheel (2). Tighten the screw into
the nut by using a screwdriver (not provided).
WARNING:
always unplug the saw from power source before
make any adjustments.
ADJUSTING THE SPLITTER (FIG 7)
The splitter (1) has two positions: Storage position and Working
position. The splitter is in the storage position out of the
package.
To adjust the splitter to be working position
1. R emove the blade throat plate.
2. Raise the blade up to the highest position by turning the
blade control wheel counterclockwise. Set the bevel at 0°.
Make sure the bevel is locked tight.
3. R elease the splitter locking lever (2) by pulling the lever up.
4. Pull the splitter up to the working position. The two working
position holes (4) should align with the two pins on the
fixture (5).
5. L ock the splitter by pushing the splitter locking lever down.
NOTE: Make sure the splitter is locked securely.
6. Place the blade throat plate back on.
To adjust the splitter to be the storage position
Repeat the above steps 1 to 3, slide the splitter down to the
storage position. Lock the splitter locking lever (2). Lower the
blade to the lowest position. The splitter should be under the
saw table.
To adjust the height of the splitter
Loosen the two screws (6). Adjust the two adjusting screws
(7) to make sure the splitter is about 1/8"(3 mm) above the
blade tips. Tighten the two screws (6).
To adjust the alignment of the splitter
The splitter must be precisely in LINE with the saw blade.
Loosen the two screws (6), align the splitter with the saw
blade. Once aligned, hold the splitter in position and tighten
the two screws (6).
