5.4 Power supply

For power supply, connect a regulated power supply unit
(e. g. MONACOR PS-1204ST) with an output voltage of
12 V
and a minimum current rating of 400 mA to the two
terminals DC + 12V (10). Observe the correct polarity.

6 Operation

Once the camera has been connected to the power sup-
ply, the green power LED (4) will light up. On the monitor,
INITIALIZE ... will appear first, followed by the camera
picture.
Via the OSD menu, it is possible to match the functions
of the camera to the corresponding application, see chap-
ter 6.3.

6.1 Zooming

For zooming, actuate the corresponding zoom button (1):
button "W" (wide angle): reduction of the focal length
The angle of view is wider; the object to be monitored is
zoomed out.
button "T" (tele): extension of the focal length
The angle of view is reduced; the object to be monitored
is zoomed in.
While the button is pressed, the corresponding zoom fac-
tor will be displayed on the screen, e. g. ZOOM X004 for a
4-fold zoom. It is possible to deactivate this display via the
line OSD of the OSD menu, see page 26.
Via the OSD menu, it is also possible to deactivate the
digital zoom (menu line DZOOM, see page 25). If the opti-
cal zoom has reached the 22-fold magnification and zoom-
ing is continued with the button "T" (1), the digital zoom will
be activated which is indicated by a "D" in the line dis-
played, e. g. ZOOM X037 D.

6.2 Focus setting

The camera offers three focus modes:
MF
manual focus setting with the buttons "N" and "T"

AF
autofocus (permanently active)
PUSH autofocus just once after modification of the zoom
setting; if in this mode e. g. persons pass through
the camera picture, the focus setting will not change
1) Select the desired mode via the OSD menu or even
simpler with the button AUTO (7). After the button
AUTO has been pressed, AF, MF, or PUSH is shortly
displayed on the screen. It is possible to deactivate this
display in the line OSD of the OSD menu, see page 26.
