Removing and Replacing a PCI Adapter Cassette
Attention:
Perform this procedure only when you are instructed to by the removal and replacement
procedures in "Non-Hot-Pluggable PCI Adapter Removal and Replacement" on page 60 or "Hot-Pluggable
PCI Adapter" on page 61.
Removing a PCI Adapter Cassette
Attention:
Perform this procedure only when you are instructed to by the removal and replacement
procedures for a "Non-Hot-Pluggable PCI Adapter Removal and Replacement" on page 60 or
"Hot-Pluggable PCI Adapter" on page 61.
Note: An adapter or a blank filler must be installed into the PCI adapter cassette assembly before it is
reinstalled in a processor subsystem or an I/O subsystem.
PCI adapter cassettes and the PCI slots in which they are installed have features that are difficult to see.
Use of a flashlight is recommended when performing these procedures.
The following illustration shows the PCI adapter cassette.
