Printer Installation

Once the printer is at the installation site specified by the customer, install the
printer in the following order:

1 Remove all packaging materials.

2 Unblock the Carriage.

3 Set the Heater power supply voltage.
4 Install the Ink Cartridges.
5 Load Media
6 First time power ON procedure.
7 Check the Printhead Nozzles.
8 Install the Exhaust Attachments.
Remove ALL Packaging Materials
1 Make sure that ALL the wheels are locked so that the printer cannot move.
2 Remove and discard any remaining plastic wrapping from the printer.
3 Remove and discard ALL remaining tapes that are still attached to the printer.
Unblock the Carriage
The Carriage Locking Plate is used to lock the Carriage in place when the
printer is being transported. The Carriage Locking Plate must be removed
before attempting to use the printer.
Be careful NOT to drop the screws into the body of the printer.
Use a sheet of paper placed underneath the Locking Plate as a
way of preventing the screws from falling into the printer.
1 Open the Front Cover and the Right Maintenance Cover.
2 Remove and discard three screws (2) that secure the Carriage Locking Plate (1)
to the Chassis. Use the Yellow Label to remove the Carriage Locking Plate.
3 Close the Right Maintenance Cover.
