Unpacking and Installation
Unpacking and Installation
The time required to unpack and install this printer is approximately two hours.
Sudden changes of temperatures may cause condensation
inside the printer which could cause it to fail.
If there is a large difference between room temperature at the
installation site and the outside temperature such as in winter,
leave the printer in its box for an hour or more to warm up
before starting the installation.
1. Leave the printer at an intermediate temperature between
room temperature and outside temperature for about an hour.
2. Leave the printer at room temperature for more than two hours.

Transfer to the Unpacking Area

Unpacking Area Selection

The following precautions must be taken when selecting an unpacking area:
1 The printer is a precision piece of equipment, therefore vibration and shock
can have a serious effect on its performance. The unpacking area should be
as close to the actual installation site as much as possible.
2 The unpacking area must be large enough to temporarily store packing
materials, spare items and any accessories that need to be installed.
3 The unpacking process may make some noise. If possible, try to choose a
site that will not inconvenience people unnecessarily.

Prepare the area for the transfer of the printer and check that the route is
not blocked. Remove any obstructions that are in the way.
Since the gross weight of the packaged printer is about 327 kg (720 lb),
it should be moved with a forklift truck or a cart.
Keep the printer horizontal at all times during transportation.
Be careful not to damage any existing facilities while moving the printer.
