The following signs appear in the Safety Section (page 2, 3, 4) and in this manual on pages 6, 7, 10, 12.
READ THIS ENTIRE MANUAL INCLUDING THE SAFETY SECTION AND ALL INSTRUCTIONS AND
WARNINGS COMPLETELY AND CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THIS PRODUCT. FOLLOW ALL
SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS AND WARNINGS TO AVOID HAZARDOUS SITUATIONS AND TO MAKE
CORRECT USE OF this product .

OPERATING CONDITIONS

Temperature: 50 °F to 95 °F (10 °C to 35 °C)
Humidity: 20 % to 95 % RH
WARNING:
• Never use, or allow others to use, this unit in combination with the following medical electronic
devices, (1) Medical electronic implants such as pacemakers, (2) Electronic life support systems such
as an artificial heart/lung, (3) Portable electronic medical devices such as an electrocardiograph.
This scale passes a harmless and unnoticeable small electrical current through your body when tak-
ing a measurement. This electrical current is not felt while using the scale. This unit may cause the
above mentioned medical devices to malfunction.
• This product is not intended for use by pregnant women.
• This product is not intended for use by infants, toddlers, and children under 10 years of age.
• Packaging materials are a deadly hazard for children and can cause suffocation. Remove all pack-
aging materials immediately and keep them away from children at all times.
• Swallowing batteries and/or battery fluid can be extremely dangerous. Keep the battery and scale
out of the reach of children. Should a child, or any other person swallow a battery and/or battery
fluid, please call 911 immediately.
• Should battery fluid leak and come into contact with your eyes or skin, immediately rinse with plenty
of clean water. Please call 911 immediately.
• Batteries should not be charged or reactivated by any other means.
• Batteries should not be taken apart, thrown in the fire or short circuited.
• Do not step on the edge of the scale (e.g. when getting on or off), otherwise it may tip.
• • Do not jump on the scale.
WARNING indicates a hazardous situation which, if not avoided, could
result in death or serious injury.
CAUTION indicates a hazardous situation which, if not avoided, may result
in minor or moderate injury.
NOTICE addresses practices not related to personal injury, such as product
and/or property damage.
Type B applied part
Observe the local regulations for material disposal. Dispose of the device in
accordance with local regulations. If you have any questions, please con-
tact the local authorities responsible for waste disposal.
