If another card that has worked in the past is available, try it
in the same slot.
Plug the card into a different slot in the chassis, to ensure that
the chassis is functional.
The following section interprets the error codes corresponding to the
yellow exclamation point used in Windows Device Manager to denote
hardware errors.
Error Code 1 on a third party card in the PXI chassis
This means that there is no driver installed for this device. Re-install the
driver for the third party card using the manufacturer's installation
instructions.
Error Code 10 on a third party card in the PXI chassis
The device failed to start. This usually means that the driver is not properly
installed or the driver is not compatible with the Windows Driver Model
(WDM). Re-install the driver for the third party card using the
manufacturer's installation instructions.
Error Code 12 on the first standard PCI-to-PCI Bridge
This usually means the NI CardBus-8310 driver is not installed, so the
resources are not allocated correctly. To resolve this issue, install the
NI CardBus-8310 driver before inserting the NI CardBus-8310 card into
the CardBus slot on the host computer.
Error Code 12 on a third party card in the PXI chassis
This usually means the memory, I/O, or Prefetch required by the card is
more than what has been allocated by the NI driver. Right-click on the
