(5) Mark the location of the propeller on the shaft at forward
end of hub with a sharp pencil
(6) Remove the propeller
(7) Insert the key into shaft key way and ensuring that the
location pin is in its hole in the propeller shaft key way
(8) Reinstall the propeller
(9) Ensure that the propeller is fully seated with the forward
end of the hub touching the pencil line you made in step 5
(10) Use a feeler gauge to check for 0.006 and 0.010 inch
clearance between the top of the key and the bottom of the
key way in the propeller hub
(11) Remove the propeller
(12) Coat the bore with any non-graphite waterproof grease
(13) Reinstall the propeller
(14) Install the nut
(15) Torque the nut with a wrench to seat the propeller
(16) Look both nuts together and install a cotter pin and bend
the Legs.

Propeller Maintenance

Inspect the propeller blades, and check the hub for cracks. If
there is a significant amount of metal eroded or clipped from
propeller, please check the propeller balancing. Making sure all
the blades are in the same plane, not bent and in balance.
