(5) Check the fuel supply and fuel return valves are set
properly
Starting the Generator
(1) Set the battery ON/OFF switch to the ON position.
(2) Press the START/STOP/WARM UP switch down into the
STOP/WARM UP position for up to maximum seconds
specified by the manufacturer's manual.
(3) Depress the START switch for maximum number of
second specified in the generator operator manual or until
the generator starts
(4) Release the START switch
(5) Be sure that salt water is flowing from the exhaust outlet
on the transom corner. If there is no flow of water, to avoid
damaging your generator, immediately shut if off until you
solve this problem.
If the generator does not start after several tries, its
water lift muffler may fill with water. To keep salt
water out of the generator exhaust manifold, remove
the muffler drain plug to empty the muffler.
When starting your generator, do not exceed the
maximum seconds of warm up or maximum
seconds of cranking specified in the generator
manufacturer's operator's manual. Wait 2 to 3
minutes before trying again.
Using Electric Power from your Generator
(1) Allow the generator to run few minutes before switching to
a load.
(2) Make a visual inspection of generator and listen for any
unusual sound.
