rescan id3 tags

Use this function if you have edited or modified file tags in other software. It re-reads file tags
for the entire library.
tiP: Re-scanning the tags is a convenient way to identify any files that can't be found; for
example, if the files have been re-named or moved. These tracks are then shown as red in the
library pane, with a question mark icon in the status bar.
Relocate lost files
If you alter the location of files of library tracks by some external file management operation,
ITCH will subsequently be unable to find them and tag them "not found". They will then be
displayed in red. This situation can be resolved by dragging-and-dropping a folder from Finder
(Mac) or Explorer (Windows) onto the relocate lost files button . This will search it, and any

sub-folders it may contain, for files currently tagged as "not found". Doing this will update the
database with their new location.
notE: The Relocate lost files function will search all attached drives for missing files and the
procedure can take some time.
