For the Move Medium command, the display will show the
command and will also show the direction of the move. In the
example shown here, the Move Medium command is to move
the tape from slot one into the drive.
Once loaded in the drive, if another Move Medium command is
issued to move the tape from the drive back into the magazine,
the display will show this as well as shown in this example.
Other commands in general will be displayed in the format
shown here. This example shows the display for a Read
command of tape 1. A similar display will be shown for Verify,
Write, Erase, Rewind, Locate, Space, Unload, and Load
commands.
This type of display is also supported for commands that
involve medium, or magazine movement. This example shows
the display for an Initialize Element Status command.
If a prevent media removal is in effect to either lun 0 or lun 1,
and you attempt to eject the magazine via pushing the eject
button, the display will notify you of this via the display shown
here. Similarly, if you attempt to select a tape in the magazine
to be loaded into the drive, and a prevent media removal is in
effect to lun 0, the display will show Select Prevent.
