GETTING TO KNOW YOUR CAR
Trunk and Stowage Compartments
Opening Trunk
Insert the round key in the trunk lid or rear door lock. Turn the key in a
clockwise direction until the lid opens. Remove the key before you close
and latch the lid.
Always,
make sure you close the panels securely. If car
is equipped With the optional anti-theft alarm, make sure the system is
disarmed before opening trunk.
Opening Hood
Opening the hood on your new car is a two-step process. First, you must
release the hood latch from inside your car by pulling the release handle
on the lowerleft of the instrument panel. Then, to raise the hood, you
must step outside to the front of the car. Reach inside the opening be-
tween the hood and the center of the grille, release the auxiliary catch
which is located to the right of center, and lift the hood and prop open
with support rod
.
Always make sure you latch the hood securely.
LOCKING
HOOD RELEASE

If your car is equipped with the optional locking hood release
,
the hood
release handle must be unlocked with the round key before you pull the
release. Never turn the key to the LOCK position when the hood release
handle is pulled out. You can't pull your key out until you have relocked
the handle.
Sun Roof
The optional sunroof panel is man-
ually operated, with a control handle
located in the center of the headlin-
ing close to the front edge of the pan-
el opening. To open the
sunroof,
pull
the handle downward from its
stowed
position and turn counterclockwise.
To close, tum the handle clockwise until the panel is closed, then push up-
ward to stow the handle.

Climate conditions and other factors playa large part in deciding how you
