Getting Started

EasyStart

Your Muratec fax machine comes with EasyStart ---- a quick introductory program
which makes it easy for you to enter the basic information necessary to get started
right away.
Important: You can always change any of these settings later, as you
familiarize yourself with your fax machine and your fax
communications needs. Also, be sure you have correctly plugged in
your machine (see page 1.11) before proceeding.

Clearing Memory

Before you use EasyStart to enter information into your fax machine, it's best to
clear its memory. The fax machine's user settings, protected by a long-life battery
backup, store information such as your fax number and the date and time.
Clearing the memory ensures that only your information is stored.

Using EasyStart to Enter Initial Settings

Important: Be sure your fax machine has paper before proceeding with
EasyStart, since this procedure will print a settings list at the end.
1. Press program, 7, mode/enter, 1, 4.

over" the numerals displayed. If you want to change just one numeral in the
