Checking the Number of Messages

It's easy to find out how many messages are in your voice mail box:
1. Press program, 9, mode/enter, 9.
Set Voice Mail
2. Press mode/enter.
Select 01-10: 01
3. To check the number of messages in voice mail box 1, skip to step 4.
Otherwise, use the numeric keypad to enter the designated voice mail box
number. Make sure you use a leading zero for any box other than box 10.
4. Press mode/enter.
Passcode:
****
5. Use the numeric keypad to enter the four-digit passcode for access to the
designated voice mail box. To move the cursor to a different digit, press one-
touch a to move left or one-touch b to move right.
Passcode:
5891
6. When you have entered the passcode you want, press mode/enter.
7. If you've entered the correct passcode, you'll see:
Rec./Play/Erase?
You may now proceed to step 8. However, if you've entered an incorrect
passcode for this voice mail box, your fax machine will return to standby
mode. This is how the fax protects voice mail box messages from
unauthorized users. Go back to step 1 and repeat the operation.
8. Press mode/enter. For about two-and-a-half seconds, the fax will display the
number of messages stored in the voice mail box you selected.

In this example, there were two messages stored.
9. Then your fax machine will return to the voice mail box standby display:
Rec./Play/Erase?
To continue using the voice mail box system, follow the appropriate
instructions for the specific operation you want to perform. Otherwise, press
stop to cease voice mail box operation and return the fax to standby.

Printing Voice Mail Box List

You can print a list of the messages in voice message box. The list includes the
voice message box number, when the message was recorded, and whether the
message is played.
To print a list of the voice message box:
1. Press program, 6, mode/enter, 7.
Print Voice Mail
2. Press mode/enter.

Erasing Voice Mail Box Messages

Because messages stored in a voice mail box are protected from the usual erasure
process which deletes incoming messages and the memo, erasing voice mail box
messages requires separate procedures.
Erasing one
To erase the message currently playing from your voice mail box, press erase.
Erasing all
To erase all the messages stored in your voice mail box:
1. Press program, 9, mode/enter, 9.
Set Voice Mail
2. Press mode/enter.
Select 01-10: 01
3. If you wish to erase the messages in voice mail box 1, skip to step 4.
Otherwise, use the numeric keypad to enter the designated voice mail box
number. Make sure you use a leading zero for any box other than box 10.
4. Press mode/enter.
Passcode:
****
5. Use the numeric keypad to enter the four-digit passcode for access to the voice
mail box you've selected. If you wish to move the cursor to a different digit,
press one-touch a to move left or one-touch b to move right.
