Filtration f or P OU i nstallation

Lavit r ecommends u sing t he L avit E CO3 F ilter f or d ispenser i nstallations t o a b uilding's m ain

water s upply ( POU). T he f ilter i s a 0 .5 m icron c arbon b lock r ated a t 1 500 g allons, a nd i s N SF

certified t o s tandard 4 2 C lasses 1 , c hlorine t aste a nd o dor, a nd s tandard 5 3 c ysts, l ead a nd

asbestos. T he L avit E CO3 a lso h as a N SF c ertified m ulti l ayer s ediment p articulate m embrane t o

protect t he c arbon b lock. I n a ny k nown h igh s ediment w ater a reas p lease u se a p re-‐sediment f ilter

before t he m achine a nd f ilter.

Antimicrobial P rotection

The c ontact p arts o f t he L avit D ispenser a re p rotected b y L avit t hrough s ilver i on t echnology. A

silver i on a dditive i s a dded t o t he r aw p lastic p arts a s t hey a re m anufactured. T his i nhibits t he

growth o f b acteria o n c ontact s urfaces. T he a dditive w ill n ot l each o ut a nd w ill b e e ffective f or t he

life o f t he m achine.

Bottled W ater I nstallation

In a ddition t o a P OU i nstallation, t he L avit D ispenser i s d esigned t o a lso w ork w ith a 5 -‐gallon

bottle w ater s upply. A b ottled w ater i nstallation w ill r equire t he f itting o f a L avit b ottle w ater

pump k it, w hich i s s upplied s eparately.
