Installation and Operation

Introduction
Raritan's PC-Share enables 2 to 5 users, each with a keyboard, VGA monitor, and mouse to
connect to and alternately operate one PC, either PS/2 or AT. Users can be located up to 1,000 feet
away from the PC.
Only one user (keyboard and/or mouse) is active at any one time. That active user has exclusive
control of the PC, while all other monitors display that PC's video output, unless the user invokes the
PrivateView function. Other users can take control of the PC when the active user is idle for a time
interval exceeding the time out limit. The time out limit can be set from 2 to 99 seconds.

CCP06U: A 2-foot cable to connect PCSH5 to your PC's keyboard (5 or 6 pin), VGA video
and mouse (5 pin or DB9) ports
CCPnnU: PC extension cable to locate the PC up to 30 feet from PCSH5
CCPnnF: Coaxial cable up to 30 feet to connect users 2 and 3
URKVMG includes DC Adapter A10D1-06MP: UTP Remote KVM Module (receiver) for users
4 and 5 (connect with user supplied Category 5 UTP cable up to 1,000 feet)
