2.1.4 LED Indicators

This indicator lights green when the Switch is receiving power. Oth-

Per 10/100Mbps ports
This indicator light green when the port is connected to an Ethernet

or Fast Ethernet station, if the indicator is blinking green, it will be

transmitting or receiving data on the network.
This LED indicator light orange when a Fast Ethernet station is

connected. It remains OFF, if an Ethernet station is connected.

This indicator light green when the port is connected to an Ethernet,

Fast and Gigabit Ethernet station, if the indicator is blinking green, it

This LED indicator light green when a Gigabit Ethernet station is

connected. It remains OFF, if an Ethernet or Fast Ethernet station

This LED indicator light green when a Fast Ethernet station is con-

nected. It remains OFF, if an Ethernet station or Gigabit Ethernet
station is connected.
2.2 Installing a Switch
This part describes how to install your FGSW-2620 and make connections to the
Switch. Please read the following topics and perform the procedures in the order being

1. The device is a power-required device, it means, it will not
work till it is powered. If your networks should active all
the time, please consider using UPS (Uninterrupted Power
Supply) for your device. It will prevent you from network
data loss or network downtime.
2. In some area, installing a surge suppression device may
also help to protect your switch from being damaged by
unregulated surge or current to the Switch or the power
adapter.
