Initial Settings

Note
The Initial Settings screen is displayed when
you turn the power on for the first time. It will not
be displayed again afterwards.
After turning the unit on, you need to set the
language, connection mode, device name, date
and time, and network settings. These settings
can be changed later.
1.
Press the Power button to turn on the unit.
The language settings screen is displayed.
2.
Press [ENTER] and use [
desired language.
Note
The language you can select is as follows:
"English": English (default), "Deutsch":
German, "Français": French, "Italiano":
Italian, "Español": Spanish,
"Nederlands": Dutch, "Português":
Portuguese, "
"Русскийязык": Russian, "
Chinese, "
When Chinese is selected, "Arabic" is
displayed to select Arabic.

Press [ENTER].

Press [G].

Use [

] to select "Yes" and press [ENTER].
The connection mode setting screen is
displayed.

Note
Calls cannot be made with other parties
whose connection mode is different from
yours.
"NAT Traversal Mode" or "IP / NAT
Traversal Mode" can be used only after
activating KX-VC Series NAT Traversal
Service with an activation key.
7.
Press [G].
8.
Select "Yes" using [
The device name setting screen is displayed.
9.
Enter a name for the device (up to 24 characters)
(Page 163).
10.
Press [G].
11.
Select "Yes" using [
The date and time setting screen is displayed.
12.
Select the item using [
information.
Enter the year (4 digits), month (1–2 digits), day
(1–2 digits), time (24 hour display), and select
