B. Preparing for use
▲ Filling the water tank
Note: Never immerse the iron in water
1. Make sure the appliance is unplugged.
2. Set the steam control to position
3. Open the filling opening, tilt the iron backward, then fill proper water
into water tank by a measuring cup.
Note: Do not fill the water tank above the MAX level. (Fig. 2)
Do not put the perfume, vinegar, starch, descaling agents, ironing aids
or other chemicals in the water tank.
If the tap water in your area is very hard, we advise you to mix it with an
equal amount of distilled water or to use distilled water only.
▲ Setting the temperature
1. Put the iron on its heel.
2. Set the required ironing temperature by turning the temperature dial to
the appropriate position.
※ Check the laundry care label for the required ironing temperature.

Synthetic fabric (e.g. acrylic, viscose, polyamide, polyester)

Silk

Always check first whether a label with ironing instructions is attached
to the article. Follow these ironing instructions in any case. If no ironing-
instruction label is provided, but you know the fabric material, please
refer to the additional table for direction.

If you do not know what kind or kinds of fabric an article is made of,
determine the right ironing temperature by ironing a part that will not be
visible when you wear of use the article.
•
The additaional table is not applicable to those fabrics through special
treatment e.g. shining, frill, projecting etc. Use low temperature for
these particular fabrics.
•
Always at first divide the clothes according to ironing temperatures.
