FIG. 8
CORRECT: Always cut with a smooth back
and forth motion. Never force the blade.
Apply light pressure to guide the tool.
CUTTING WITH THE CONTROL FOOT
Cutting with the control foot in the open
position gives you a more stable cut, allowing
for added accuracy and control when making
rip cuts in sheet materials such as wood,
cement board and drywall. Do not use tool
with control foot in opened position when
cutting materials exceeding 3/4" thick.
When open, the control foot has been
designed to sit at the optimal angle for cutting.
FIG. 9
ACCESSORY
It's important that the cutting accessory you
are using is mounted in the correct position on
the tools interface. For best cutting results,
mount the accessory so that the flat portion of
the accessory holder is visible and between
the open portion in the rear of the accessory
interface, as shown in Figure 9.
When cutting with the control foot open,
always make sure the foot is placed flat on
your work surface (Fig. 10).
INCORRECT: Do not twist the tool while
cutting. This can cause the blade to bind.
FIG. 10
CORRECT: Always cut with the control
foot in the proper open position. Make
sure the control foot is flat on your
cutting surface.

foot. Always use the control foot on flat
