Ensure that you understand and follow all safety guidelines, safety instructions and warnings mentioned in this chapter before installing your DP2K- 20C digital projector.

    2. GENERAL About this chapter Read this chapter before installing your DP2K-20C digital projector. It contains important information concerning installation re- quirements for the DP2K-20C digital projector, such as minimum and maximum allowed ambient temperature, humidity conditions, required safety area around the installed projector, required power net, etc.

    Power requirements The DP2K-20C digital projector operates from a nominal mono phase power net with a separate earth ground PE. The DP2K-20C digital projector requires 200–240 VAC, 50–60 Hz, 26 amps at 200 VAC with a separate earth ground PE. A label on the projector indicates the nominal line voltage for which the projector was set at the factory.

    Projector tilting In an ideal installation, the DP2K-20C lens surface is centered with and parallel to the screen. This orientation helps to ensure optimized lens performances with minimal offset. If this position is not possible (such as when the projector is significantly higher than the center of the screen), it is better to rely on offset rather than extra tilt.

    Flexible touch panel interface The touch panel interface can be mounted upon a swivel arm which easily fits on top of the DP2K-20C projector. One central locking mechanism of the swivel arm allows an instant fixation of the touch panel interface in any position.

    • 10 mm wrench. How to install the touch panel interface upon the DP2K-20C projector? 1. Assemble the mounting plate and the swivel arm together as illustrated. First place the nut (N) upon the rod of the mounting plate, then add the lock washer (L), then fasten the mounting plate and the swivel arm together. When the arm is mounted, turn nut (N) against the arm to secure the position.

    Overview The current projector is DCI compliant and should be registered by Barco. Therefore, the digital certificate inside the projector will be used to secure encryption key communication between the projector and the rest of the theatre system (server and theatre man- agement system).
