Trouble Shooting Guide
PROBLEM
1. Oven will not function.
2. Oven does not
3. Oven is not clean
4. Broil does not work.
5. Door will not open.
6. Oven light will not work.
7. Strong odor and/or smoke

Service Information

If your oven should fail to operate, check to see whether the circuit breaker is open or the fuse is blown.
If service is required, call your authorized service agency.
When you call for service, have the following information readily available:
• Model number
• Serial number
• Date of purchase
• Name of dealer from whom purchased
Clearly describe the problem that you are having. If you are unable to obtain the name of an authorized
service agency, or if you continue to have service problems, contact Viking Range, LLC at 1-888-845-4641, or

model number for your oven is located on the identification plate mounted on the top left side of the oven door
opening under the control panel.

POSSIBLE CAUSE AND/OR REMEDY
Oven is not connected to electrical power.
Have electrician check power circuit breaker,
wiring and fuses.
Door is not shut tight enough for
operate in self-clean.
automatic door latch to lock.
Temperature control knob not rotated all
after self-clean cycle.

far past broil position.
Oven is still in self-clean mode. If oven is
hot, door latch will release when a safe
temperature is reached.
Light bulb is burned out.
Oven is not connected to power.
This is normal burn-off of insulation and
is noticed first few time oven protecitve oils in the oven. This will go away
is used.
