7.0 Typical malfunctions of the system

Symptoms
The flame controller's display is
unreadable
The flame controller does not signal
the shortage of fuel
In
spite
of
reaching
temperature, the regulator does not
close the throttle or closes it with
delay.
The regulator disabled the manual
control mode and begun to control the
throttle manually.
The air throttle is closed for most of
the time and opens for short periods
and closes again.
The intake air throttle is opened
at 60÷100% and exhaust gases
temperature is decreasing.
In spite of the fact that the throttle is
closed, the fireplace cools down very
slowly or continues to heat up..
High temperature oscillations observed. 1. If oscillations are lower than ±10°C, it is a normal situation.
Important! The manufacturer reserves a right for making changes in construction and software without previous notice.
What to do
1. set the display contrast in MENU/handling/display
2. set the display brightness in MENU/handling/display
Set the alarm sounds and volume in MENU/handling/sound
a
preset
It is a normal operation. Long period of reaching a preset value resulted in filling the
accumulator of integrating action of PID algorithm. Shortly, the regulator will start closing
the throttle searching for optimum opening.
When the alarm temperature is reached (setting Talarm parameter in service menu), the
regulator will disable the manual operation mode and switch to automatic control. It
prevents damaging the fireplace left in a manual mode with opened intake air throttle.
If during the burning process in automatic cycle the exhaustion gases throttle is closed for
most of the time and will open only for short periods of time, it means that the amount
of fuel in relation to the fireplace preset temperature is too high. Increase the preset
temperature or decrease the amount of fuel
Fuel amount which is supplied to the fireplace furnace is insufficient to maintain
temperature of fumes on the preset level. Supply more fuel to the furnace or decrease the
preset temperature.
1. Such situation can be a result of too much fuel supplied to the fireplace
2. All additional air inlets to the fireplace should be closed.
3. Chimney draught is too high; decrease it by half-closing the throttle on the fireplace (if
present)
4. Intake air throttle provides a minimum clearance in order to protect against accumulation
of gases in the fireplace which would lead to ignition in case of air flowing into the fireplace
(e.g.: as a result of opening the fireplace door).
2. Inappropriately installed exhaust gases temperature sensor (too far from the furnace)
3. In order to find the optimum level of opening the throttle, an integration segment of
the regulator caused oscillations. It should be lower and lower until the fireplace reaches
the optimum level of opening the throttle and exhaustion gases temperature is stabilized.
4. If oscillations persist or even increase to extend ±25°, it can be a result of inappropriately
selected regulator settings; in such case - contact the installer.
