Sensor cables should be connected according to colors on the
picture. Connecting the sensor in reverse way will cause indication
errors. If, during ignition of the fireplace, the temperature of
exhaust gases reaches app. 100°C, the regulator will report an
alarm of incorrect connection of the sensor no. 6 (described in
alarms menu in chapter 11.0). In such case, change polarity of the
connected exhaust gases sensor (exchange cables).
Important! Cables of thermoelectric sensors cannot be
extended with standard cables.

In order to verify the accuracy of temperature sensor connection,
check the reaction of the regulator by putting the flame (e.g.:
from a lighter) close to the sensor.

4.2.4 PPD throttle installation
Important! The throttle should be installed on the adapter for
intake air of the fireplace. The throttle itself should be in such
distance from a heat source, that the temperature in a place
of installations is not higher than 60°C. It is a temperature
of resistance of throttle elements. These elements can be
damaged if this temperature is exceeded.
The throttle should be calibrated together with the regulator.
Calibration process is described in chapter 12.4. Calibration
process can be performed outside the fireplace by connecting the
throttle to the regulator.
The regulator controls air inflow to a furnace with the use of
PPD throttle (intake air throttle).
The throttle should be fitted to the diameter of intake adapter.
Standard throttle is 100mm in diameter.
A „spiro" tube can be used in order to supply air between the
fireplace and throttle and between the throttle and air supply
point.

Fig. 08 Throttle connection
Tube-throttle and tube-fireplace connection points should be
sealed, e.g.: with the use of aluminium insulation tape.
The air throttle does not have any orientation and it does not
matter on which side the input or output section is located.
4.2.5 PPD throttle connection
The servomechanism which controls throttle's butterfly is
equipped with a 30 cm cable and ended with electric cube. The
throttle should be connected with a three-wired cable with
a minimum cross-section area of 0.25 mm
allowable cable length should not exceed 10 m. In the
environment of high level of electromagnetic interferences, the
operation of servomechanism can be unstable. In such case, it
is recommended to use shielded cable in order to connect the
throttle. Such shield should not be connected anywhere and
should be insulated at both ends.
Fig. 09 Connecting PPD throttle to the regulator
Important! Cables coming out of the servomotor are ended
with an electric cube with anti-interference capacitor inserted
between PWM and GND lines. Its removal can cause improper
operation of the throttle and damage of the servomotor.
