The current operating mode is shown on the display by means
of a corresponding icon in the right part of the main screen. (Fig.
Main Screen).
If the temperature exceeds Toperation on activating the flame
controller, the device instantly moves into automatic operating
mode. If the temperature is below Toperation, the flame
controller activates the kindling mode of operation. Regardless
of the activated operating mode on the moment of switching
on the device, the user can always choose a different mode from
the available list of operating modes
10.1 "Lighting" operation mode
This operating mode is used for lighting in a cold fireplace. It
is intended for heating the fireplace until it reaches lighting
temperature (higher than temperature reached via the
automatic mode of operation), and subsequently sustaining
this temperature in the fireplace and finally enabling a smooth
transition to the automatic mode of operation.
Ignition mode will be active until the temperature of exhaust
gases reaches Tz-dToperation value (dTpraca is available in
"Burning options" menu); then, the regulator will switch into
automatic operation mode
The lighting mode is selected from the menu 'Operating Modes'
and is divided into two phases outlined below.
Fig. 26 "Lighting" mode screen
10.1.1 "Lighting" - phase I
The flame controller operation in the first phase
of lighting mode consists of opening the
throttle in order to kindle fuel in the fireplace
easily. Having exceeded the preset temperature
of the automatic mode (the current position of
the preset temperature of the automatic
mode), the device activates the timer of the
lighting stage.
If after this time the current temperature is higher than the
preset temperature of the automatic mode of operation, the
flame controller switches into the second stage of lighting
process
.
10.1.2 "Lighting" - phase II
In the second phase of lighting, flame controller
slowly shuts the throttle so that the exhaust
gas temperature reaches the temperature of
automatic operation parameters. When the
exhaust gas temperature levels with the preset
temperature of automatic mode, the flame
controller switches into the automatic mode of
operation
10.2 "Automatic" operation mode
This mode is purposed for normal operation of the fireplace
when it is ignited. The mode consists of three phases.
Fig. 27 3 Operation screen in "Automatic" mode
10.2.1 "Automatic" - phase I
Automatic operation mode consists in dosing
the intake air in such a way as to maintain a
preset temperature level of exhaust gas.
When the exhaust gas temperature is lower
than the preset temperature of the automatic
mode, the flame controller opens the throttle
gradually. When the exhaust gas temperature
is higher than the preset value, the device starts shutting the
throttle to achieve the optimal throttle position for the current
conditions in the fireplace.
On exhaustion of the fuel, the flame controller opens the
throttle in order to sustain the preset temperature of the
exhaust gas.
If the temperature of exhaust gas falls below the temperature
Toperation (the animation of flames on the main screen
disappears), the flame controller switches into the second
phase of the automatic mode of operation
10.2.2 "Automatic" - phase II
If the exhaust gas temperature during the
automatic mode phase 1 decreases in relation
to the preset temperature by the value of dT
parameter (the parameter located in the
Shortage of Fuel Menu) and the flame controller
detects a temperature drop, then the flame
controller switches Into the second phase of
the automatic mode.
In this phase, the flame controller shuts the throttle slowly
which reduces the air intake supply.
