1.0 General information

Electronic Flame Controller ERS 01 manual constitutes a
supplement to an operation and maintenance manual of a
fireplace or fireplace insert. Installing the fireplace or fireplace
insert ought to be carried out in compliance with its operation
and maintenance manual.
Careful study of the manual's content ensures easy and
correct mounting and safe use of the system.
Mounting and installing the fireplace ought to comply with
the local construction regulations.
Electronic Flame Controller ERS 01 controls the entire
combustion cycle from the initial kindling stage to the
final fire extinguishing stage. The uniqueness of ERS 01
lies within the software which was tailor-made for the
selected Jøtul and Scan fireplaces and fireplace inserts. The
Electronic Flame Controller has also been equipped with
Uni 270 software which enables the use of ERS 01 with
any fireplace equipped with an external combustion air
inlet.
With the first activation of the product, the controller takes
over all the functions responsible for regulating the amount
of air required for the combustion process. According to
the chosen mode of operation, the controller automatically
ignites, maintains the set temperature within the range
+/-5°C and safely extinguishes fire in the fireplace. ERS
01 informs the user about any fuel shortage and low
temperature of exhaust gas. The device also alerts the user
about the risk of overheating and in effect it prevents the
fireplace from damage. When the combustion cycle is over,
the throttle is shut in order to preclude both the fireplace
and the accumulating mass HSS from cooling down.

It is recommended to get acquainted with a local system of

household waste. Appropriate utilization of old products can
avoid potential negative consequences of influence on people
and environment.
Storage of documentation
This assembly and operation manual, as well as any other
applicable documentation, should be stored diligently, so that
it was available at any time. In the case of moving or selling the
device, the attached documentation should be forwarded to
the new user.
