described in this section. VoIP button distinguishes the Internet phone call from normal PSTN
phone call. To make Internet phone call press VoIP button followed by destination telephone
number. It supports a user-friendly dialing method as described below.
Warning:
You need to have Internet access information and VoIP calling card information
configured in DPH-70E to make and receive Internet calls.

5.1 Receiving Internet call

RECEIVE state. VoIP button enables and disables this state and the corresponding VoIP LED
indicate whether the DPH-70E is in receive state.
When you press the VoIP button, DPH-70E connects to Internet and VoIP (Internet Telephone)

VoIP LED. After connecting to the VoIP server, it will turn on the VoIP LED and stop progress
tone. It stays connected to Internet for 15 minutes or until you cancel it by pressing the VoIP
button again.
During this connection process if anything fails, DPH-70E will disconnect modem, turn off VoIP
LED, plays an error message, and then goes to idle state. If the Internet access line is busy it will
retry 4 times before giving up.
Warning
: In RECEIVE state, DPH-70E is connected to the Internet and you will be charged for
